Support is paid regularly
If the person required to pay support moves outside Québec, but pays your support regularly through Revenu Québec, the person can continue to do so or else pay you the support directly.
Support is not paid regularly
If the person required to pay support moves outside Québec and fails to make payments, the procedure known as reciprocal enforcement of support judgments may be used. Québec has signed agreements for this procedure with certain other jurisdictions.
Note
The jurisdictions currently designated by the gouvernement du Québec for the reciprocal enforcement of support judgments are the other provinces and territories of Canada, and ten US states.
